About this life-changing experience...
This apprenticeship program draws upon my rich background in Buddhist psychotherapy, Tibetan Buddhism, nature-based explorations, and decades of working with diverse shamanic peoples. (Check out my books and read more in my bio.) In 1989 I completed my Reiki Level 2 training with John Harvey Gray, one of Hawayo Takata's original 22 students. I became a nontraditional Reiki master teacher in 1993. In the 1990's my healing practice naturally expanded - I spontaneously found myself working with spirit guides and employing what I discovered to be "shamanic" methods. This coincided a spiritual initiation leading me to work with diverse shamanic peoples, some in remote parts of the world. Based on these experiences and what I present in the book Shamanic Reiki, I taught a year long Shamanic Reiki Apprenticeship program for five years. In 2015 this was adapted so that people could participate from all over the world. The Entry Apprenticeship continues to evolve as an intimate integration of energy and nature-based spiritual approaches to healing - transforming individuals from all walks of life. People come to Shamanic Reiki to deepen their healing abilities and their connection with nature and spirit. Not everyone is interested in teaching, so don't let that hold you back!
Our apprentices come from all walks of life - they are holistic educators, public school teachers, parents with young families, psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, farmers, herbalists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, holistic veterinarians, energy healers, animal communicators, gardeners, holistic physicians, allopathic practitioners, yoga instructors and practitioners, students, PhD candidates, mediums, artists, tarot readers, writers, hospice workers, physicians assistants, martial artists, nurses, business entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, technical workers, food servers, musicians, retirees, reflexologists, allopathic physicians, and more.
This program is nature-based and non-strategic, it has an organic, creative flow. This originating form of Shamanic Reiki is not just about technique. If you are trained in other approaches, we ask that you open freshly to the materials and engage them very personally. This journey will uniquely empower you to hold a meaningful space for others, and for nature.

Our heart-based approaches empower each person uniquely, taking you beyond technique. You can choose from a Client-Based or Nature-Based Practicum, or combine the two. Supported by faculty and mentors you gain in-depth practical experience in applying Shamanic Reiki approaches in real-world settings.
Apprentices say the greatest gifts are the organic flow of the program and the personal, heartfelt engagement they feel with faculty and mentors. Not didactic or instructional, you gain more than techniques - your perspectives and sense of self expand, shifting how you approach life and any work you're empowered to do. Your relationships with the nature and the Intelligent Field to "come alive", so they directly teach and guide you.
Lives change, this is an ecstatic journey - and we have a whole year together!
Nature is a very big element of this work, which draws from all of Llyn Roberts's books. The original REIKI Secrets(c) approaches she developed are extremely powerful to apply and receive. The ceremonials, practices, and teachings deepen your relationship with spirit and nature, the foundation for all healing.
What does this certification empower me to do?
Upon receiving your year long certification, you will be empowered to practice Shamanic Reiki healing approaches, and conduct its rituals and ceremonies. You will have greater confidence in your healing powers, which will be magnified. You'll have a broadened diversity of skillsets, and a richer connection with nature and all of life. The heart of Shamanic Reiki Worldwide is the community of support created. The extensive library was created by Llyn, who also designed the home-based Client and Nature-based Practicums. Your relationship with the healing practices and your ability to hold the Shamanic Reiki sacred container deepens through experience, which is the best teacher. Through faculty teaching, private individual mentoring, small circle sharing, peer consultations and practices, online circles, meditations, audio gatherings, and recorded teaching sessions - we cultivate a nourishing container for you to learn and share.
This home-based apprenticeship is designed for you to enjoy a personal and relaxed connection with your faculty, peers and community. It was created to fit a diversity of personal circumstances - you can tailor your learning in the ways that flow with your personal, family and work needs.
Our apprentices work with people, and/or follow a nature-based path working with animals or other nature beings such as trees, land, waters, plants, etc. Others take the year to focus exclusively on personal life-empowerment in the Life Empowerment option. We invite the experience that is just right for you.
